Everything gets better with a beer by your side! My first bike was a 1981 CB 650 Custom. It was a great bike to learn on. I never took a course or anything. I just got my learner's permit, registered the bike, and started riding it around my neighborhood until I got the hang of clutching and shifting. When I felt ready, I ventured out onto the main roads. I had a lot of fun on that bike. The KZ 550 I ended up with a few years later was shit compared to the Honda.

Even though I'd never go back from H-D now, I don't forget where I came from. It's kind of like how you never forget your first girl, you know?
