There are 2 types of bikers: the ones that crashed and the ones that will

Don’t worry, I didn’t crash just now, but I did a couple of years ago. I don’t regret anything - I actually got to the Hospital on my bike with a light broken leg and got back on the bike only 3 weeks after even that I couldn’t still brake with it. Then crashed again on the way to the office only one week later - the other leg, this time nothing broken.
If I think about it, I’m actually proud of it - it’s been like the moment when I become a real biker (of course thanks God it wasn’t worse).
I keep this picture as a reminder on my desktop.

The best thing to do after “an off” is to get straight back onto a motorcycle or the doubt begins to set in. After Ian’s last accident he was back on a bike the next day only to discover later on he had broken 3 bones in his wrist and had to be put in plaster for several months! Guzzisue shattered her elbow at the same time but also was riding pillion again as soon as she was able.
We never think about “what if….”
I’m sure many bikers have photos of things they hit, bikes they bent and injuries the’ve sustained.

Been there; done that. I’m still limping and it’s been 9 months.
I coudn’t get right back on because I had no choice. I was in a cast for a while, the bike was wrecked, and then winter came. But, as soon as I got the bike back and the weather broke, I was back on her immediately. Surprisingly, I didn’t have any anxiety about it.
Crashing sucks. Here’s to hoping we’ve had ours and there’ll be no more!
