A bit disappointed by the Honda dealer in Bucharest

By admin | Sep 15, 2009

As you might already know I’m probably a big Honda fan. I own 2 Honda Motorcycles, had another Honda before, and my car is also a Honda. And until today I’ve always been very appreciative of the Honda motorcycle service here in Bucharest.

Unfortunately for me, things didn’t turn that well today, when I had my 24k service on the CBF600. Things started when they let me know I should change the front tire, which they didn’t have (but that wasn’t so bad, because I didn’t feel like changing the tire before the winter anyway).

Next, you need to change the brake pads. OK, that’s a major safety issue especially because this Friday I’m going to the Austrian Alps for a week (should be around 5k KM – Austria, Swiss, Germany and I think a little bit of Italy). But surprise, they didn’t had the brake pads either…

So I went next door, at the Yamaha dealer and got some pads that matched, returned to the service, and opened the door of the service hall to let them know I have new pads. And the service guy started yelling at me that I’m not allowed inside, even thought I didn’t enter the working area, just opened the door to say I have the damn pads.

I don’t know about you, but I never ever allowed myself to yell at a customer, even if the customer was dead wrong (which I wasn’t anyway).

And finally, they scratched my tank in 2 places when replacing the spark plugs. And this pisses me off the most. Not only that you are unable to provide me with the basic safety of brake pads, yell at me for no reason, but you had to scratch the tank?

scratch

So thank you INTER MOTORCYCLE for “fixing” my bike. I could have done it myself, save the scratch and not being yelled at.

Just bought a Honda 750 for my 40th birthday, been relearning to ride, but felt like there was a slight wobble in the tire, took it in to be serviced. It has less than 1300 miles on it, still under warrenty, but they won’t cover it. They said I must’ve done the damage. Now its going to cost me $200 to get new rim.

I will never buy another Honda anything.
