Valea Jiului trip (I’m cheating a little)

I only got 3 pictures (that not so me) and I’m a bit cheating (I’ll tell you later why). Valea Jiului is basically the Valley of the river Jiu, that 20 years ago was thriving due to coal extraction industry. Nowadays the government has decides is no longer viable to dig for coal there, and we have plenty of deserted mines. Not sure what’s up with these deserted mines but they are always in remote and beautiful places.

Narrow roads, “uncharted territory”. Beautiful. But, I’m cheating a bit, I wasn’t there on the bike, had a lady companion and 2 wheels were not an option Well, sometimes you have to let it go, but it’s definitively on my riding list next year!
