Riding Trip to Valea Siriului

Ok, so by going to the Targu Secuiesc bikers party I’ve got to do 2 things: going to the parade and having a trip on Siriu valey. Since last year we’ve got new tarmac, the road is never crowded and it’s really a mountain road. I’m becoming very good at taking picture with my right hand while riding :) and I don’t have to stop all the time:

I needed to go up the mountains - everything was really green probably because here is the coldest place in Romania (Intorsura Buzaului is a small village where we get the lowest temperatures).

While grabbing a cup of coffee, met some guy with a 919 - blue as well. We had a non-alcohol beer together, and  ride together off the valley - didn’t took his contact details, but isn’t that (meeting another fellow rider, ride together for a while then taking different roads) what motorcycles are about?

The rest of the pictures here.

How does it feel to go to a biker’s meeting that you don’t know it has been canceled?

A very long title, and it’s going to be a very short post. Last week I went about 200kms away just to find out that the Brasov bikers party has been canceled (my bad, I didn’t check for updates). Here is how this looks like… I think my face says it all :(

Trip to Slanic Prahova Salt mine

From Bucharest, the trip to Slanic Prahova salt mine it’s a nice Sunday morning trip. It’s about 100 kms going through villages and some twisted roads. From what I read, the salt mine is the biggest in Europe (you will get from the pictures how big it is, and that’s just the visiting area). First, you go down with the miner’s elevator (it’s really an authentic elevator they used while excavating for salt), around 200m. The temperature is 12-13 Celsius, no matter what season is outside. You can play basketball, soccer, or just sleep in the sanatorium (the mine is well known for it’s curative powers especially for asthma. It’s really an incredible experience:
